But thanks for the review . . . I am looking for a new Vet and was thinking about going here but guess Ill go somewhere else. how hard is it to find a good vet in this town???

I read the previous reviews and just felt the need to add my own. There are so many different opinions on declawing a cat and I won't even get started on that. But I had an actual medical situation and I think that they are very polite and professional. I would recommend at least giving them a call if you are looking for a vet. When my cat has her kittens I plan on using them to get her vaccinated and fixed!

If you cared enough about your pet to leave a comment here then I am surprised you didn't take the time to research about the effects of this procedure and how unethical it truly is beforehand.

i took my pet here to be declawed, thinking the price i was quoted was for all four paws. When i picked up my pet he had only two paws done. The lady at the counter actually had me help her to rebandage him, even though i was told he would be prepared at the given time. I did not feel comfortable holding my pet down in pain. Then i was told that he would chew the bandages off himself. I waited a week and had to take him to another vet for advise. this vet took his bandages off and said that they were wrapped intirely too tight. Not only was i dissapointed at the level of care they gave to me and my pet. But i actually felt guilty for subjecting my cat to this. Declawing is a very painful procedure, and i need my vet to be more sympathetic to his needs, as well as more informational to my questions.

Kaylee . . . if you were that concerned about your pet being in pain why did you declaw your cat in the first place? The pain doesn't stop at the procedue . . . it will cause pain for the rest of his life. Not only that but he will suffer psychologically from this as well.

BTW, generally speaking, back paws are not declawed because that cat does not scratch with the back paws . . . just the front. So thank god they didnt take the back ones . . . the only upside to this story I can think of.

I recently moved to the area when I had a stray cat come up pregnant. The lady in the office patiently answered all my questions, and there were a lot of them! I was given a referral to another local vet (not naming names) and when I called I was given very short answers and the only information I was given over the phone was... bring her in. (I'm dealing with a semi feral cat who is about to give birth any day now. If I try to get her into a carrier she would probably try to rip my throat out. She has issues. She'll purr the whole time you're petting her, then while still purring try to bite your hand off.)

When I thought of a few more questions, like vaccines and getting her fixed I called back and was quoted a very reasonable price. I was also told if I had anymore questions about my new cat that I could call back and ask and if she becomes distressed or has problems giving birth to try to bring her in.
