My Air conditioning went out in my van traveling cross country. They wanted to charge me $750 for a new AC condenser. We decided not to do it and we had our local mechanic replace it when we got home for $250. Summary: They are not affraid to gouge.
I had been a customer here for a few years. Tires,repairs, I trusted them fully. Last spring I brought my 2003 Envoy for an alignment and to have a noise from rear of car checked. I was told I needed a left ball joint and the alignment. Got that done and was told the rattling I heard was from inside the vehicle. After the alignment car pulled to the right. When I bought it back for this issue I was told all cars pull to the right to prevent head on collision in event of the driver falling asleep. No other vehicle I have ever driven did this, including the Envoy before the latest alignment. Bringing it to another shop they found the right side hub bearing, and rear axle seals leaking and stabilizer links worn. Never going back to Purcell tire again
